物體系 - 導論

人類究竟透過何種程序和物產生關聯，以及由此而來的人的行為及人際關係系統。

探討物的結構語意系統，也就是它的科技層次

物的科技層次是本質的(essentiel)，而物在其需求及實用的心理或社會學層面的變化則是非本質的(inessentiel)。

從技術模型緊密一致的結構層次出發，才能理解為何物會被生產及消費、被擁有及被個性化(personnalises)

首先，界定物的理性層次，也就是物的客觀科技結構化過程

汽缸的例子

現今的汽缸是具體的，老式的汽缸是抽象的。

老式汽缸，每一個單位只在爆炸循環的某一個段落裡作用。

零件就像是輪班上陣的工人，彼此並不認識。

抽象形式：每一個理論或物質單位被當作一個絕對本位來處理，其功能也因此必須是在封閉系統 裡完成。

產生一些特殊的結構，稱之為每一個組合零件的防禦結構。

新式汽缸：

譬如：散熱板，新的汽缸，結構是一個整體......各部分相伴相隨和合同協力......用超越的方式來進行整合。

不同功能在同一元件中的整合，而不是在相衝突的要求中尋找妥協。在這個由抽象邁向具體的步驟中，技術物可說是傾向於發展一個完成一致而且完成統一的系統。

科技向我們訴說物的一部嚴謹歷史，其中，功能的衝突在更廣闊的結構中得到辯證性的解決。

技術元，類似語言結構的抽象層次的音素(phonemes)

技術的演變便是在它們的排列變化的基礎上進行......在這個層次上設想技術的結構研究，探討"技術元"如何具體地組成高複雜度的技術物......

但是，要了解日常生活中的物體系，這一類技術結構分析將是破綻百出、效力薄弱。

柏拉圖在理想國提到：像是幾何學中的圖形，不要去管天上到底發生了什麼事，如果我們想成為真正的天文學家，並且想由我們的靈魂聰明的部分得到益處的話。

一整個生活體驗的非本質體系反過來影響技術的本質體系，並損害了物品的客觀身分。

二次度的層次 各種功能，墮落於趣味發明﹝gadget﹞的不一致之中。

因此可以觀察到兩個層次的存在，那便是客觀本意(denotation)和引申意義(connotation)層次(透過後者，物品被心理能量所投注、被商業化、個性化、進入使用，也進入了文化體系)

由於科技嚴格地依賴科技研究的社會條件......如果要科技地去描述它，只有，在同一個行動中，把它當作一種由實際體系持續干擾技術體系的結果。唯一能夠說明真相的，並非技術的合理一致的體系，而是實踐對技術的影響模式，或者更精確地說，是技術被實踐卡住(enrayage)的模式。

物的體系的描述，一定要伴隨著體系實踐的意識形態批評。

在科技的層次，並沒有矛盾，有的只是意義。但人文科學只能是意義與反意義的科學：一個合理一致的科技體系如何擴散於一個不一致的實踐體系之中，物品的"語言結構""如何被"說出"，以致於使得此一"語言使用"(或說是言語體系和言語使用的中間物)的體系足以阻塞語言結構？最後，要問的不是物體的抽象一致性，而是它被實際體驗到的矛盾，究竟位於何處？
